| NEVER Burn. Never try to do too much and tan sensibly. This is the most important thing to remember. TanCun Certified Tanning Devices YOUR OWN PARTICULAR SKIN TYPE People react differently depending on your skin type to sunlight. When tanning in natural sunlight and on tanning beds, it is important to know your own particular skin type. Please see TanCun's Skin Type page to determine your type. EXPOSURE TIME Your exposure time, the first time you tan, depends solely on your skin type, the tanning device and the type of lamps used. Always follow the recommended exposure schedule for your skin type and never exceed the maximum exposure schedule of the tanning device. This should be listed on the front of the tanning unit, or consult with the salon staff who will advise you on proper procedures. Non-pigmented skin type I should avoid the tanning process. PROTECTIVE EYE WEAR While in a Tancun certified device keep your eyes close while tanning and always wear protective eye wear that block out UV light. Contact lenses should be removed prior to tanning. COSMETICS Before tanning at TanCun, please remove all cosmetics from your skin and take off all jewelry. Do not use any sunscreen lotions during tanning, as these can detract from the tanning effect. MEDICINE If you are taking medication or suffer from a skin disorder, please be aware that certain medicines may be photosensitive. In other words, they may cause an adverse reaction when the body is exposed to UV light. A list, which identifies many photosensitive medications, foods, and ingredients, is on display in TanCun. Always consult your physician if you have any questions or concerns. SKIN CARE Your skin needs care before and after tanning. Use skin care products to keep an attractive tan looking good for a longer period of time. Ask about our TanCun certified JOHN ABATE' skin care products who maximize your desired look. SALON HYGIENE At TanCun we know how important proper salon hygiene is to your health. The acrylic area will always be cleaned with a special disinfectant before each tanning session. Compliant, protective eye wear must be worn when using any indoor tanning device or system. |
